Towbin Hummer has participated in events which helped provide a sense of community among fellow HUMMER owners. According to General Motors source of September 2004, Towbin Hummer ranked 1st out of 165 competing dealers. We associate this success with child safety programs, customer appreciation events, off-road Hummer Happenings, and our intense training program.
Carolynn Towbin, the Executive Vice President of Towbin Automotive, has a passion for child safety and community events. She insists on quarterly events to encourage sales staff and customers to be involved as well. This quarters event, a fingerprint-a-thon hosted by KLAAS KIDS, was held at Towbin Hummer. The event was a success, with over 200 Kids fingerprinted and over 500 in attendance. Parents and customers were very pleased that Towbin Hummer reached out to the community. This event is only a small portion of the customer involvement that Towbin Automotive encourages. The Great Basin Hummer Happening was a previous event that strengthens owner loyalty.
The objective of the Great Basin Hummer Happening is to promote product excitement. Any one who purchased a vehicle from Towbin Hummer was invited to the event. A unique twist was added to the event by creating this three-day excursion for a small donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Las Vegas, NV. This promotion was only the beginning for Towbin Hummer adventure seekers to incorporate good will and a sense of community among Hummer Owners.
The event was so successful that another event has been planned for November 5th -7th. This will take place in Death Valley, with double the enthusiasm and anticipation. Thrill-seekers will enjoy a two-night stay in a traditional hotel setting along with three days of off-road excitement. The off-road track will allow participants to discover the extent of HUMMER H1 and H2 abilities. With the addition of the SUT and the H3 launch, other programs such as the HUMMER Happening will continue strong on a semi annual basis.
We also contribute our success to a Hummer certified training program for the sales staff in the Las Vegas dealership. This training program requires the Towbin Hummer staff to attend a 3-day intense, on and off road training in Indiana. The sales staff participates with this program once every year. Every quarter, the dealership also includes another training which involves product knowledge, customer service, safety issues and updates on vehicle features. |
